Description: Type 8 nylon web sling. Used in basket hitches. Improved protection for loads through wider surface area. Wide width improves load balance over standard nylon slings. Wider profile distributes pressure over larger area and prevents scratches or cuts. Lightweight, flexible, and relatively soft. More suitable for higher capacity loads than Attached Wide Eye Slings. Constructed by stitching together the length of an endless sling. Eye loops are sewn to form a taper to accommodate hoist and crane hooks. Available in one-ply or two-ply. Nylon webbing is resistant to most regularly encountered chemicals, except for moderate strength acids and bleaches. Elevated temperatures (above 194 F) significantly reduces capacity. Prolonged exposure to sunlight and other sources of UV light results in degradation of the nylon web sling. Red core yarns help identify cuts, punctures, and abrasions.
